Figure Skating

Please help me help others AND meet a hero!

As you know, I am crazy about skating!

This coming weekend I’ll be participating in a competition in Madison, WI Fri-Sun.
I decided to participate in a fundraiser with Ashley Wagner to raise funds for FSC of Madison. FSC of Madison helps Madison Ice Inc. fund rink betterment projects, such as sound/lighting system, as well as to expand to 2 full sheets of ice under one roof!.
Besides helping others, as I raise money, I’ll win awesome prizes, including the chance to spend the day with one of my heroes: Three-time U.S. National Champion Ashley Wagner!
Please consider making a donation to this fundraiser today. Deadline is Wednesday September 13th.
Donating is really easy. You can enter any amount to donate below or If you’d rather send a check, write my name in the memo field, make the check payable to FSC of Madison and mail to FSC of Madison 1121 Velvet Leaf Drive Madison, WI. 53719.

Here is my personal donation page!

Keara

Figure Skating

This girl is on fire!

Yesterday Keara spent the afternoon/evening in Apple Valley. She took 2 US Figure Skating tests. Pre-Preliminary Freeskate and Pre-Juvenile Moves in the field. She passed BOTH!! This is a HUGE accomplishment! We are so proud of all the hard work it took to pass!!! She received bonus points and high marks on everything!

“The test structure is the backbone of U.S. Figure Skating. Passing skill tests presided over by official judges advances the skater to the next level. Skaters test in moves in the field, free skating, pairs and ice dancing. As a skater advances, the tests become more difficult.” Read More here

You can read more about the 2 tests below. There are 8 tests total in each category. She’s now onto the 4th test for Moves, and the 2nd test for Freeskate 🙂
